Antinomies in relativity theory: Is the science settled?

By simple calculations, it is shown that the Lorentz transformation (LT) expresses an intrinsic ambiguity serious enough to disqualify as physics any relativistic kinematics built upon it. The ambiguity results from a failure to specify how “relative motion” is apportioned between its participants. Other LT-related antinomies are noted.

Au moyen de quelques calculs simples, on démontre que la transformation de Lorentz (LT) comporte une ambigüité suffisamment grave pour disqualifier comme physique n'importe quelle cinématique bâti sur elle. Ladite ambigüité dérive de l'absence de spécification sur comme le “mouvement relatif” est distribué entre les participants. On va noter aussi des autres antinomies en connexion avec la LT.
