Uncertainty and the scheme of quantization are examined in an analytical perspective of set theory and theory of probability. The analysis in turn brings about some newer insights into the quantization, uncertainty, and complementarity. The discussion in this paper addresses the probabilistic origin of the complementarity in Quantum Mechanics. The symmetries of commutation and noncommutation that are nicely understood in quantum mechanics in the form of algebra and group theory exist even as set theoretic attributes.

Key words: Complementarity; Probability; Uncertainty.
