An experimental controversy leads to the determination of a range of possible radii (a) for the electron (positron). That range is 0.498 146 283 fm ≤ a ≤ 0.704 485 230 fm. The upper limit appears to be the actual radius, and the lower limit may be of significance to the “hard core” in nucleons.
