Cosmological recession of the Galilean moons from Jupiter

It is suggested that local cosmological expansion occurs in the Jupiter satellite system. First, the relative mean motion accelerations of Io, Europa, and Ganymede are close to the current value of the Hubble– Lemaître parameter. Second, the rate of orbital expansion of these moons, as determined by tidal resonance theory, is similar to the expansion rate of the Universe. These findings are in conflict with the widely held view that cosmological expansion does not operate at the local level.
Il est suggéré que l’expansion cosmologique locale se produit dans le système satellitaire de Jupiter. Tout d’abord, les accélérations moyennes relatives du mouvement de Io, Europe et Ganymède sont proches de la valeur actuelle du paramètre de Hubble-Lemaître. Deuxièmement, le taux d’expansion orbitale de ces lunes, tel que déterminé par la théorie de la résonance des marées, est similaire au taux d’expansion de l’Univers. Ces résultats sont en conflit avec l’opinion largement répandue selon laquelle l’expansion cosmologique ne fonctionne pas au niveau local.
