This paper agrees with I.J. Good on the selfconsistency of the kinematics of the special theory of relativity. However, this paper shows that Good's rebuttal of a paradox raised by I. McCausland has a serious problem. Some thoughts on the meaning of this impasse are given.

Keywords: kinematics of special relativity, special relativity, clock paradox, twin paradox, extension of special relativity, time dilation equation, Minkowski diagrams, Minkowski's integral, geometric spacetime theorems
