A recently described new implication of the equivalence principle (redshiftproportional vertical size increase downstairs) does not stand alone. Contrary to accepted wisdom, light is not condemned to crawl downstairs. An upwardslanted ray reaches its horizontal target luminally. An isotropic size change is an admissible hypothesis.
