We propose that a gravitational wave is a fluctuation of the medium, which appears as the product of the permittivity of free space                         and the permeability of free space . That is, the gravitational wave is an acoustic wave in the medium. This proposal shows how the phase velocity of the fluctuation relates to the speed of light .

Nous proposons qu'une onde gravitationnelle soit une fluctuation du milieu, ce qui apparait comme le produit de la permittivité de l'espace libre et de la perméabilité de l'espace libre . Ceci étant dit, l'onde gravitationnelle est une onde acoustique dans le milieu. Cette proposition montre que la vitesse de phase de la fluctuation est liée à la vitesse de la lumière .
