Universality of the Numerical Value of Length and Its Implications for Time Dilation

Our recent proposal [Phys. Essays 11, 521 (1998)] for introducing separate units of length for each reference frame is extended to the case of time. The advantage of this proposition is exemplified by considering the moving muon's dilated lifetime and the twin paradox.
