We have shown that Lorentz–Einstein transformation is frame dependent, except in the case of motion in one space dimension only. We have proposed an associative and frame independent “reciprocal symmetric transformation (RST).” RST agrees in magnitude with Lorentz transformation. RST reduces to Lorentz transformation in the case of motion in one space dimension only. RST is complex. The imaginary part of RST relates relativistic transformation to quantum mechanics and spin algebra.
